Teaching Assistant - Level 1 - Special needs
Fixed term for 1 year initially.  The post is Term-time only plus 1 additional week.
Grade 3 point 12 £ 17,173 pro rata

Piper Hill School is part of the Prospere Learning Trust Academy.  We are a school for pupils aged 11 – 19 years with severe learning difficulties.

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant, at Level 1, to join our team of dedicated professionals who share an ambition and commitment to all of our pupils.

The post holder will support teaching and learning across the school, providing general support in the management of pupils and resources, as directed by teachers and senior staff. The successful applicant must be able to work effectively with the whole school community including pupils, parents, governors and staff. 

Candidates will be shortlisted against the person specification for the post.  We would expect you to have good literacy and numeracy skills (proof of GCSE qualification or equivalent in English and Maths is essential). We welcome applications regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or religion.  This post requires enhanced DBS clearance. The Trust is committed to safeguarding our children.

The selection process will consist of a skills test and an interview.
