CURRENT VACANCIES - Prospere Learning Trust

Applications are invited for the post of Director of Finance and Operations to join our central team.

Role purpose

The Director of Finance and Operations (DFO) for Prospere Learning Trust will be a member of the Trust’s Strategic Leadership Team and will provide oversight and day to day support on all finance and resource matters relating to the Trust. 

The DFO will lead on matters relating to finance and resources for the Trust and provide oversight, advice and guidance to individual academies in the Trust; ensuring there is effective and efficient financial management across the Trust and that Trust mission and values are reflected throughout all operational matters.

The DFO will play a lead role in the development of the Trust Strategic Plan and effectively manage change processes across the Trust in line with this plan and lead in the design, development and implementation of systems, policies and procedures to ensure compliance in all relevant legislation relating to the Trust.

About you

The successful candidate will be highly motivated and skilled, ambitious, with proven technical ability and relevant experience. The post holder will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA/CIPFA), and have a strong track record of effective financial management, financial analysis and risk management. Previous experience of working in the Academy sector is desirable but not essential.

About Us

Prospere Learning Trust was formed in September 2017 through the merger of two multi academy trusts. We currently employ over 500 staff and are passionate about securing the best possible education for our young people, and believe that our staff play a vital role in achieving our vision.

Prospere Learning Trust currently comprises of 5 secondary schools, including 3 mainstream schools and 2 special needs schools.  We are a growing Trust, currently working in the South Manchester area but with further schools anticipated across Greater Manchester.

The role will be based in one of our South Manchester schools, with an initial base of Piper Hill High School. Candidates should note that the role will require regular travel between the trust schools, which are currently based in Chorlton, Newall Green, Wythenshawe and Northern Moor.
